Humbug

Forget Xanga!  What'd it ever do to me?  Google, however, has done many things for me.  It has allowed me to put together all my IMs, emails and blogs.  Yes, that's right, Google is taking over the world.  And I'm jumping aboard.  Which means Blogger - not Xanga.

Here's my new, improved, better, awesome blog:  http://kerussopolis.blogspot.com
And don't forget - you can comment even if you're not a member of Blogger.

MOV it

So, I decided to tell Quicktime to MOV it and changed all the .mov files to .mpg. MPG is much better, anyway. Higher quality with less file size. Plus, if you really want to, you can still play it in Quicktime.

Also, all the podcast episodes are now in .mp4 file format. Which means it takes a LOT less time to download them. Remember, to add Far Street to your podcasting, open iTunes, go to Podcasts, click the Advanced menu and select "Subscribe to Podcast..." Type http://www.kerussopolis.com/farstreet/pod.xml in the ensuing box and press enter.

Fourth and Down

And on the eighth day God created football. Oh, wait, no, that's a lie.

With it being so close to Superbowl time, I figured it would be appropriate to allude to America's new favorite pastime. . . . No, actually, that's a lie, too. I just wanted to make fun of football. Absolutely no thought of the Superbowl crossed my mind while I wrote this episode.

How many football players do you think went to watch Brokeback Mountain?

Enjoy the show!

Mere Christianity

There once was a very wise man by the name of Clive Staples Lewis. One day he decided he didn't like to be associated with sharp metal office supplies, so he shortened his name to C. S. Lewis. He later went on to write many books - most notably, his series The Chronicles of Narnia which would, in the year 2005 become a blockbuster movie. One of his more factual books, however, was named Mere Christianity in which he did the best he could to describe the basic principles behind the truth of Christian doctrine.

Many, many years after Mr. Lewis' death another man by the name of Steve Beaudry grew to greatly admire the books that Mr. Lewis had published. He also came up with a series of web cartoons named Far Street which chronicle the life of a character named Nikki January who is, like C. S. Lewis and Steve Beaudry, a Christian. The problem is that her nieghbors aren't made aware of this until the aptly named episode "Mere Christianity."

And now, for your viewing pleasure, the fully reshot and re-edited third episode of Far Street: "Mere Christianity."

In addition to creating a completely new first couple of episodes I've gone the extra mile and made Far Street accessible via Podcast. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this new technology, it alows you to automatically download new episodes of your favorite radio or video programs through iTunes or any other program designed to capture these "Podcasts." And besides that, they're designed to be downloaded onto your iPod for viewing wherever and whenever you want (though you don't need an iPod to get iTunes and just view it on your computer). To start downloading the Far Street Podcast, open iTunes, go to the Podcast Directory and search for "Far Street." I'm sure the smart ones will find it right away.

Oh, and, by the way, the first two episodes, the two-parter, have been revamped for your viewing pleasure, and in light of this new Podcasting idea I've made the episodes available for download as a Quicktime file. Enjoy!
